Mario has served as a senior software development project leader with over 13 years of experience developing systems and software for IBM. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver immediate business impact for complex and large scale projects through strong team and technical leadership with the ability to clearly communicate and present to technical, client, and executives audiences. He is a pragmatic hands-on technical leader with a proven track record of delivering value to strategic IBM focus areas. He is a 3-time recipient of IBM’s highest technical honor, ‘IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award’, for his work in Autonomic Computing, Cloud Computing, and AI Cognitive Computing.

Mario serves as an adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College and is passionate about coaching and mentoring students and new hires.

He is currently serving as a Technical Program Manager in Watson Health Cognitive Platform providing a cognitive technology ecosystem to product and solution teams. He has led successful Healthcare projects focused on Utilization Management, Underwriting, Clinical Trials, and Oncology Research using NLP, Machine Learning, and Statistical Analytics to solve complex biomedical informatics problems. Previously directed teams and initiatives as an Architect for Cloud System Software and Cross-Platform Virtualization driving all aspects of planning, implementation, business commitments, design, and status.
